LAHORE: (Thursday, September 04, 2025): Punjab University Office of Research Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC) has organized a seminar entitled as “Materials Revolution: Advance Materials for Sustainable Future” at Seminar Hall of the Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology. Distinguished guest speaker Dr. Faiz Ahmad, Professor of Engineering and Material Sciences from University Teknologi Petronas (UTP), Malaysia, a renowned professor in the field of Metallurgy and Materials engineering delivered a lecture on sustainable advanced materials. ORIC Director Engr. Prof. Dr. Aqil Inam, welcomed the guests and other participants and highlighted the contribution and role of ORIC in the promotion of research culture in the university and commercialization of the projects to earn money. Chief Guest, Engr. Prof. Dr. Suhail Aftab Qureshi, Vice-Chairman, Pakistan Engineering Council, Punjab, in his address encouraged and appreciated the activities of the ORIC, PU. Prof. Dr. Saleem Shuja, Ex-PVC, UET and President, Pakistan Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Engineers (PIMME) expressed his pleasure towards the seminar. Prof. Dr. Ghazala Butt and Prof. Dr. Furqan Khurshid Hashmi (Deputy Directors ORIC) were also among the organizers.
